Grünewald Consulting is an owner-managed boutique consultancy based in Solingen, specializing in executive search and international business development. Our work combines personal proximity, analytical depth, and committed action. What began as a traditional HR consultancy in the 1960s has evolved into a reliable partner for strategic corporate development. Today, we—in the third generation—support companies worldwide with entrepreneurial flair and a clear focus on what matters most.

Our business is internationally oriented, but the approach remains locally rooted. With a subsidiary in Turkey, as an active member of a global network, and continuous exchange with a growing circle of partners, a consulting environment is created based on trust, continuity, and cultural understanding.

Under the umbrella of the GRÜNEWALD GROUP, we combine expertise in HR consulting, leadership development, and coaching. Together, we work on solutions that are not only technically compelling but also sustainable.

Managing Director

Cedric Schütz

Owner and Managing Director of Grünewald Consulting since 2025, he leads the company with vision and realism, combining entrepreneurial thinking with a keen sense of the specifics of medium-sized businesses and the demands of international markets. He values clear words over big promises – reliability is more important to him than image.

In the field of executive search, he has been supporting family businesses worldwide in filling key positions since 2017. His goal is to find individuals who not only impress with their professional skills, but also fit the organization culturally and personally.

As an Advisory Board Member at INAC Global Executive Search, he is involved in an international network spanning over 60 countries. There, he promotes the exchange of business opportunities and strengthens cross-border collaboration.

His career combines commercial practice, business management foundations and modern HR work – a combination that enables him to make personnel decisions based on both entrepreneurial and human principles.

Lothar Grünewald

From 1999 to 2024, Lothar Grünewald led Grünewald Consulting, significantly shaping it for over two decades. With his combination of analytical clarity, entrepreneurial vision, and human touch, he supported family businesses and medium-sized companies in successfully filling key positions. Today, he contributes his experience as a member of the Advisory Board – an important source of inspiration for the further development of Grünewald Consulting and for topics far beyond the company.
