"Senior Lead Engineer Modules (w/m)"
The Company
Our client is a very well known inventor of an innovative proprietary cell and module technology. After being a sole cell supplier so far, the company will in 2010 start the production of high technology modules.
The department of our client is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving
the cell/ module production processes and equipment (based on well defined KPI’s) as well as supporting the introduction of new cell/ module processes and cell/ module concepts. To
achieve that goal, there is a close cooperation with our Research and Development
department.
As Senior Engineer Modules (m/f) you will be responsible for the production/processing steps
that help to improve the performance of the modules and reduce the production costs, so
decreasing the costs of photovoltaics with the final goal of grid parity. You do this in a young
and dynamic Engineering team. Your responsibilities include:
Responsibility
Be the senior expert within the Engineering group in the field of module technology
Lead technology cluster programmes
Coach colleagues in building up the module specific engineering know-how;
Stabilize and continuously improve the module production process
Define KPI´s for efficiency, costs and output
Close cooperation with the equipment suppliers;
Support R&D projects in developing the next generation module technology;
Transfer results of the R&D department like new processes and new products into mass production;
Transfer module processes from our pilot line to mass production lines in other places of the world.
Profile
M.Sc or B.Sc in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering;
More than 3 years experience in PV module technology is a must, preferably in an Engineering environment;
Experience with quality tools like 8D or 6 Sigma;
Result driven and hands-on working style;
Team player with good communication and social skills who inspires, leads and develops colleagues.
